200th post? let's have a meme gallery of my older sibling.

i love the snl natalie portman rap too much (link yourselves up, hermano.)
and my sister and i created this inside joke.
and i have created this meme on the topic.
enjoy.

what have i accomplished in 200 posts?
starting off discussing my love of blank pages and concluding with a series of ridiculous pictures of my sister?
a lot, to say the least.
good times, bad times, lol times, not-so-lol times...
but so is life, amirite?
but i think it's fair to say that i've entered in some of the best ones of my life so far.
yup.
i'm really really happy.
yup.

i'm not really sure when i'll post again.
just because i think my life doesn't really need this place much anymore.
but when it does, and i start playin' that damien rice life-ending jams seeking making a post about nothing, i'll come and visit.

from the girl who's keepin' calm and carryin' on,

clearly, you've picked up on the fact that i only post when i have other things to do.

so i am in summer school right now (half way in) and i have an essay that is due tomorrow. i finished the book earlier today, i have read over the outline, i have the time...

but my birthday is tomorrow.

i don't want to be doing this shit.

today or tomorrow.

don't care.

so instead, imma post somethings that i do and think that are a bit weird.

fair?

thought so.

oh look! it's me with long hair again! isn't that amazing? you can't even see where my hair ends. it just goes on for miles and miles the way i strategically placed it.

nope. that's just be bugging around because i like to pretend i have long hair.

OTHER IDIOSYNCRACIES I TAKE PART IN.

- everytime i put soap on my hands before i turn on the water, i think back to the first time that i was called out on it. i was at my elementary school washroom with one of my best friends at the time named lana and we were about to go out to recess and i put the soap on my hands before the water (for the first time just because i was distracted by the gossip she was telling me about) and she stopped mid sentence to ask me what i was doing with putting the soap on my hands first. and i got all defensive and said this is what i did everytime (though that's not true. i was distracted (as previously mentioned)) and then we got into this discussion as to whether or not that was a good thing. so now, if ever i put the soap on my hands before i rinse it with water, i think back to that conversation. i haven't spoken to lana since grade 6 graduation.

- i love hop and gos. those granola bar muffin things. they are awesome. particularly the ones with the chocolate chips. and i also loved ytv. i remember one day, i was eating a hop and go in the living room while watching this alvin and the chipmunks halloween special. if there's one thing that ytv was known for, was their amazing 1990's films that were shown on special holidays and occasions. anyway, i was eating my hop and go and theodore (one of the chipmunks) is befriending frankenstein (obviously) and they have one of those amazing montages of all the fantastic moments of their 20 minute friendship and one of them was where frankenstein learns how to share. he ends up splitting his cookie into two pieces and politely gives theodore the larger piece (though, let's be honest, theodore wanted the entire cookie.). but instead of just ignoring this moment or, i don't know, changing the channel, i decided to do the same thing with my hop and go. so i divided it into two pieces (not sharing it with anyone) and ate the smaller piece. because, you know, i wanted to be polite to my later self. and then i would grab the uneaten piece, break that into two, and so on and so forth. and that's how i eat my hop and gos now; constantly preparing myself for the possibility of sharing it with a drawn frankenstein that gets feautred in alvin and the chipmunk movies.

- i loved the television show friends. it was one of those shows that my sisters and i watched every night after supper. we freaked out about that one episode of "we don't know that they know that we know they know", we cried when monica proposed to chandler, we ran around the house screaming when ross said the wrong name at the wedding. even though i realise now that i probably didn't get half of the sexual innuendos, we loved the show. and there was this one episode that i saw, i must have been 10 or 11 that was phoebe buffay saying "oh no"(cannot find it on youtube). so basically i had watched one too many episodes of her doing that and decided to adopt her way of saying it. and i did. for the next 8 years. until fast forward i am working a shift at starbucks in montreal and my friend julie is hanging around as she always does and were chatting and i felt it appropriate to say "oh no" a la buffay. and maybe i should have mentioned earlier that julie is a bigger fan girl of the show than i am, but she calls me out on it. for the first time in 8 years, including my own sisters who watched all the episodes with me, she is the first one to pick up on my phoebe "oh no". i do it a lot less now.

and those are some of the weird things that effect my everyday life.

time to write an essay & turn 20 in 2 hours.

much love,

mtb.

kelsey, saima, and myself behind some of my art at my exhibit.

a lot went down in the past two weeks.

daily pep talks needed, fallen out of crushes, tasted those that are familiar, friends leaving, friends coming back, and i'm loving all of it. i'm just digging what's going on.

summer courses start up soon. that's going to be a whole other ball park. but i'll try and keep my game face on.

might go to toronto to see some calgary

don't you cherish me to sleep
never keep your eyelids clipped
hold me for the pops and clicks
I was only for the father's crib

hair, old, long along
your neck onto your shoulder blades
always keep that message taped
cross your breasts you won't erase
I was only for your very space

hip, under nothing
propped up by your other one, face 'way from the sun
just have to keep a dialogue
teach our bodies: haunt the cause
I was only trying to spell a loss

joy, it's all founded
pincher with the skin inside
you pinned me with your black sphere eyes

you know that all the rope's untied
I was only for to die beside

so it?s storming on the lake
little waves our bodies break

there's a fire going out,
but there's really nothing to the south

swollen orange and light let through
your one piece swimmer stuck to you

sold, I'm Ever
open ears and open eyes
wake up to your starboard bride
who goes in and then stays inside
oh the demons come, they can subside

road runner with assignments.

there is so much to do before the end of school/the exhibit.

portfolio pictures, letter of intent, portfolio book and formatting and cd, one oral, one essay to go with that oral, another essay for that class, two green living assignments, one take home test, one essay, bibliography, one transcript and bibliography for that's classes presentation, photo print outs and artist's statement, another artist's statement for explosions in the sky, create booklet for said statement and 15,000 words i wrote on the topic, edit and present an entire film, make sure that my calendars are up to date for both art classes, finish phantom painting, then there's setting up the entire exhibit. no. big. deal. OH. and enjoy yourself. cause... ya know... i won't see 95% of these people ever again and i have been on a tremendous journey
with them and should pay homage to that.

AND I HAVE TO PAY BILLS.
SHIT.
DOING SO NOW.

anyway, don't feel too bad for me. a customer got me SOLD OUT TICKETS TO ADELE'S CONCERT AT OLYMPIA NEXT MONDAY.
HOLY FRRRRRAAACK.

THANK YOU, SYLVIE!

friends who create sites for me that have timed posts about wolves and saskatchewan and currency helps me in times of study

my phantom journal project that i have incredible amounts of fun with and i think that's the point for right now.

it's 6 x 3 and it's going to be part of a series (i've decided).

really really excited.

this i'm not happy with right now.

i was high off fumes and fatigue when i did it.

i like the legs.

but anyway, we'll see what i can make of it.

decided i will probably do a stop motion animation instead.

i can't deal with this.

anyway. i have so much to do and no time to do. i have Surfer Blood tomorrow night to greet me into the summer season. so let's make it fun, shall we?

other than that, no time.

much love, bitches.

eco-friendly affair.

so i was running in between plans, right? because all i do is run around. i'm leaving supper having to excuse myself before everyone to pay my bill. it was vegan sushi. that being said, as i was entering my pin number i picked up one of the complimentary fortune cookies in the jar on my left before i skipped out the door and rolled down hill to the metro. i get lost quite easily. zig zagging with my shoes untied, stuffing it in to not get too distracted, going in the wrong metro direction and having to double back, doubling back and then realizing the metro line is down and i have to wait. it has become routine to me and so that day was no exception. i clean myself up as my fringe and everything else was flailing in the breeze like branches, tame them, and wait. digging for my power hand (buspass, ipod, phone) i start glancing around and notice a cute boy not too far away from me. he is really cute. good shoes. good sign. good headphones. probably listening to Peter Bjorn & John or something. he glances towards me and i rapidly look elsewhere while filding in my jacket pockets for the missing pieces of my power hand. i suddenly feel the crunchy paper of my fortune cookie that had been destroyed in the jog. i abandon my original mission and start opening it, asking myself how funny it would be if the fortune cookie said something along the lines of "the love of your life is standing right next to you". how serendipidous that would be. as i slide off the cookie from the future, low and behold:

yup. you read right. i freaked out. i couldn't take it. i was looking around checking for some sort of proof or assurance or camera crew. yup. and so that was it. the hopeless romantic in me took over and i started gliding my way over to cutie in the corner. not straight ahead like a bullseye but angled enough for him to feel the need to look up and see what was going on (a.k.a:destiny). i'm almost at the point where all the stars would aline when i just see this girl steadily walking towards him. i freeze. act casual. like i'm waiting for a metro or something. pretend to glance around out of boredom. i hear her faintly say "sorry that took so long. she's a talker." and kiss my destiny goodbye. because she kissed him. the guy aforementioned.

point is: i always get the memo too late on destiny. i don't know what to make of the fact that i plan on walking around with this fortune cookie and using it as a pick up line the next time that i see a cute boy.

reduce reuse recycle?

side bar: all the songs i have strolled upon in the past week have to do with three things: caring and someone not caring , living in the moment, caring and someone not caring but living in the moment. all too relivant.

for now, pce, btchs.

that girl who does those things,
and who is really really excited for my trip to toronto & has to do a lot of homework to earn said
road trip
