i've seen them in concert; possitively amazing.
they played sensationally, i had this connection with the drummer jack savidge, all around summed up to being in the top 3 concerts i have been to.
and with their new single release (legit coming to the world on august 31st of this year), the second album should be tailgating that.
as i dug deeper into my friendly fires infatuation tonight; hoping to MAYBE see if they would be returning to me (we got some catching up to do, mr.savidge.) here's what i have concluded and gathered.
JACK THE (/MY) MAN GOT TWITTER.
and somewhat shockingly it's pretty great.
i mean i got twitter and i tweet that thing to bits. but he turned it into a skill!
HE IS HYSTERICAL. right up there with rainn wilson.
sure, he may have simply posted what he had for dinner on the night that he played les saints in march (that's right, folks. i checked.) but i understand that it would get extremely boring for him to post "the crowd loved me" every single day.
two best posts at a quick glance:
-him explaining that every time he walks down london streets, he feels as though he is in grand theft auto 4 (no less).
- calling someone repulsive for abbreviating "who" to "hu".
also, he has this obession with having things go on. example: Getting my naked discus throw on, Getting my Capricciosa on, turning Meaghan on because i am awesome that way, and so on.
so obviously, with posts like that, the musical connection, and the fact that i have his drumstick and love beards, scruff, talent, and british accents, we are soulmates.

or highschool sweethearts.
also discovered their podcasts on their site as well as their photos that will definitely cause riots and probably already have (economic crisis=friendly fires pictures).
cheers to seeing lots more of your tunes and faces, boys.
your groupie, band-aid, and gf,
mtb.
